The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (Art. 4 Abs. 7 DSGVO).

Data protection officer

A company data protection officer has not been appointed pursuant to § 38 BDSG (threshold not reached). Please direct privacy-related enquiries directly to Christian Eder at info@eder-fahrschule.de.

Processing when you visit the website

When you visit this website, your browser automatically transmits technical data to our hosting provider. This is stored in server log files:

  • IP address (shortened or anonymised by the provider)
  • Date and time of access
  • Resource accessed (path and file name)
  • Referrer URL (the page you came from)
  • User agent (browser and operating system)

Legal basis: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (legitimate interest in providing and securing the website).
Storage period: Logs are automatically deleted after a maximum of 14 days, unless needed to investigate specific attempted attacks.

Consultation & registration form

On the Consultation & registration page you can fill out a form to arrange an appointment. We process the following:

  • Name (first and last name)
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Desired licence category or enquiry
  • Optional message in the free-text field
  • Preferred appointment slot

Purpose: Responding to your enquiry and preparing the consultation or registration appointment.
Legal basis: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (initiation of a contractual relationship) or lit. a DSGVO (consent) for pure consultation enquiries.
Storage period: Enquiries that do not lead to a contract are deleted no later than 6 months after the last correspondence. If a contract is concluded, the statutory retention periods apply (in particular § 257 HGB, German Commercial Code, and § 147 AO, German Fiscal Code).
Transfer: The form is technically processed via the Web3Forms service (Reggeon LLC), which delivers the entries to us by email. No cookies are set in the process. The legal basis is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b and f DSGVO. A data processing agreement (Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag, AVV) under Art. 28 DSGVO is in place with the provider.

External services & recipients

When this website is loaded, content from the following third-party services is loaded. In the process, your IP address is transmitted to the respective provider so that your browser can retrieve the content.

Google Fonts Provider: Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Purpose: Consistent display of the "Geist" typeface.
Legal basis: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
OpenFreeMap & MapLibre Map data from OpenFreeMap (non-profit project, main server in Germany) based on OpenStreetMap data. Rendering library MapLibre GL (open source).
Purpose: Displaying our location on the homepage.

Pexels CDN Provider: Pexels GmbH, Holzmarktstr. 73, 10179 Berlin (Vimeo Inc. as parent company, USA).
Purpose: Streaming the hero video clips on the homepage.

unpkg.com CDN for JavaScript libraries (MapLibre GL JS).
Purpose: Delivery of static library files.
Legal basis: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

We do not use any analytics tools (no Google Analytics, no Matomo, no Plausible), no social media plug-ins, no advertising cookies and no re-targeting. There is no newsletter.

Cookies & local storage

This website does not set any tracking or marketing cookies. We only use technically necessary data in browser storage:

localStorage: eder-hero-i Stores the index of the most recently shown hero video clip (0 to 3), so you see a different clip on every visit. Contains no personal data. You can delete this entry at any time via your browser settings.

Legal basis: § 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG (Telekommunikation-Digitale-Dienste-Datenschutz-Gesetz, German telecommunications and digital services data protection act) — strictly necessary for the expressly requested function. No consent required.

Disclosure to third parties

Your personal data is not disclosed to third parties beyond the technical service providers named under item 05. Exceptions:

  • If you have expressly consented (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO).
  • If this is necessary to fulfil a contract with you (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO), for example a transfer of data to the driving licence authority at the Landratsamt Tübingen (Tübingen District Office) or to TÜV Süd / DEKRA for the exam registration.
  • If there is a legal obligation (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. c DSGVO).
  • If this is necessary for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO).
Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

  • Art. 15 DSGVO: Request access to the data stored about you.
  • Art. 16 DSGVO: Request the rectification of inaccurate data or completion of your data.
  • Art. 17 DSGVO: Request the erasure of your data, unless a retention obligation applies.
  • Art. 18 DSGVO: Request the restriction of processing.
  • Art. 20 DSGVO: Receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, or have it transmitted to another controller.
  • Art. 21 DSGVO: Object to processing for reasons arising from your particular situation.
  • Art. 7 Abs. 3 DSGVO: Withdraw any consent given, at any time, with effect for the future.
  • Art. 77 DSGVO: Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

An informal email to info@eder-fahrschule.de is sufficient. We respond within the statutory period (generally within one month, Art. 12 Abs. 3 DSGVO).

Data security

We use TLS encryption (HTTPS) for data transmission, at the highest level supported by your browser. You can recognise the encrypted connection by the padlock icon in your browser's address bar.

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures (Art. 32 DSGVO) to protect your data against loss, destruction, manipulation or unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
