From January 2027, theory lessons can be completed fully digitally, and mandatory special drives will likely be reduced. If you start now, the old rules still apply to you. That's usually an advantage. We're happy to advise you on this.

Manual remains the Swiss Army knife, you're allowed to drive everything. With the automatic code 197 (since 2021) you save lessons, but you'll have no restriction later on. When in doubt, learn manual, it's doable with 4-6 extra lessons.
12 mandatory special drives are set by law (5 overland, 4 motorway, 3 night). On top come practice lessons - with us, an average of 13 more, so 25 lessons in total. Beginners with no prior experience tend toward 30, returning drivers 15-18.
Yes. We offer compact theory blocks during the school holidays, and the practical training can be condensed into 5-6 weeks. The bottleneck is usually the TÜV test appointment, which you should book right at sign-up.
